Portamento is a local record label started by 2 local DJ's, David Farlow (aka Morphunk) and Nino Anthony. Every Friday night for the past few months they have been totally rocking the upstairs of the Carlisle Club. Their night has become so popular that on March 31st, they will be banging out their dirty electro beats in the main room downstairs, which is much, much bigger and puts the sound system upstairs to shame. Just to give you an idea, last week the fire marshall showed up because they had too many people upstairs, and they also blew 3 speakers.

I always have a great time going to their nights, and I am glad to see they are doing so well. They recently have released some of their tracks on a pretty major website. Major props must also go to the Carlisle club for hosting and promoting this night, when most other night clubs in Columbus would not do such a good job of hosting, promoting, and supporting EDM.
