Isaac Hayes quit the hit TV show South Park today, calling the shows "attacks" on religion inappropriate. Hayes is a practicing Scientologist and recently South Park did a show tearing this ridiculous organization a new one (rightly so, in my opinion).

This is complete and utter bull shit. This show makes fun of Judaism and Catholicism on almost a weekly basis, and Mr. Hayes has been cashing checks from this show for almost 10 years. Then they do ONE show on his so called "religion" and he has the gall to call it bigotry and intolerance? You know what, fuck him, good riddance, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Of course Matt Stone, the creator of South Park had a few things to say about it and I think he pretty much nailed it on the head:

"This has nothing to do with intolerance and bigotry and everything to do with the fact that Isaac Hayes is a Scientologist and that we recently featured Scientology in an episode of 'South Park."

"In 10 years and over 150 episodes of 'South Park,' Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslims, Mormons and Jews. He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show. To bring the civil-rights struggle into this is just a non sequitur.

I hope they do a show in the near future absolutely skewering this guy.
