Oscar Nominees
They have been released. I would like to express my outrage that Star Wars was not nominated for visual effects. That is the academy snubbing Lucas yet again. I mean War of the Worlds? Half of that movie took place in a basement!
It did get nominated for makeup, which it should win just for Tion Medon.
Here is the full list.
THIS JUST IN: In an unprecedented move, a puppet from a movie released 7 years ago has been nominated for best supporting actress. I of course speak of Yaddle, the wisest member of the Jedi Council in Episode I. Everyone, keep your fingers crossed!

Brokeback will most likely win best director and picture. It's a shame all the controversy and hype surrounding it has overshadowed Munich , which most definitely made up for the eye cancer that "War of the Worlds" gave me. Speilberg's best since "Saving Private Ryan".
Didn't see a lot of the other movies, so I can't really comment on those. Curse my Japanese local theatre and their many showings of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith".
