Principal Removed After Sex, Alcohol Allegations

This is rather disturbing...mainly the fact that it had been going on for at least a couple of years.

The Columbus Public Schools board fired Wedgewood Middle School Principal Loy Koeller and accepted the resignation of a teacher Tuesday following allegations of inappropriate behavior on school grounds.

The Legend that is Carl Cox

Many of you may have never heard of Carl Cox. But in many parts of the world, he is a household name.

I was going to write a brief biography, but the one on his official website is much better than anything I can come up with. You can read it under "Press".

My favorite disc of his is Mixed Live: Second Session. The energy is amazing on this CD, and since it was recorded live (from Detroit, the birth place of electronic music) you can hear how he interacts with the crowd. In my opinion that's what separates him from most DJ's. I have never seen anyone work a crowd like he does. A lot of electronic DJ's accomplish this by totally pulling out the bass and then building back up to it. He is one of the few DJ's I have seen that is constantly working the crowd, even when the bass is playing strong.

The best part is that Carl Cox is coming to town. That's right, for a mere $5 you can see him at the Redzone on Front Street on October 13th. If you look at the list of places he usually tours it includes London, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Prague, and Brazil City, you realize we are very lucky to have him here in Ohio at all. Even if you are not into electronic dance music, I encourage you to check this out. He may just make a believer out of you.
