I don't know if anyone read or heard about the diver who hit her head on the board at the FINA World Championships held in Montreal. I had been looking for video of the incident, and finally found it last night. Not for the squeamish.

Her name is Chelsea Davis and she is from Columbus. She was on the front page of the Dispatch sports section less than a week before this happened. Luckily the injury is not serious, only required a few stitches. She is only 17, so hopefully she is able to bounce back and compete at this level again in the near future. She will be attending Northwestern University.
